Backbone Horse Campground

Backbone Horse Campground is a small, semi-primitive campground designed for campers or picnickers with horses. Campground gates are open from when the snow melts, until the snow flies – as the campground road is not maintained during the winter months. There is no fee for camping but a free use permit must be completed upon entering the campground.

Blueberry Patch Campground

Blueberry Patch Campground is a small, semi-primitive campground located along Picnic Area Road (County Route 2), next to the large blueberry patch for which it is named. The campground gate is open from mid-May through the end of November. Sites are available on a first come first serve basis.

Potomac Group Campground

The Potomac Group Campground provides a semi-primitive group camping experience intended for groups of 8 to 45 people. This site is excellent for family events and youth group activities. The site is
only accessible by hiking approximately 200 yards from the parking area. Facilities include a large pavilion with picnic tables, cooking grill, camping areas, and vault toilets. There are several day hiking
opportunities nearby.

Dispersed Camping

Dispersed camping is allowed throughout the Finger Lakes National Forest. Please ensure you set up camp at least 50 feet from the edges of streams, ponds, trails and developed areas.  Camping is NOT allowed in pastures from May 15 – October 31, due to cattle being present.
